From the Bed & Breakfast, you can very easily walk to Aizenay where you will find all the restaurants and shops you might want as well as additional tourist information. If you would like to venture a bit further into the countryside or to the seaside, bicycles are at your disposal. There is a bicycle path going straight from Aizenay to St Gilles Croix de Vie and the region of Vendée has a very comprehensive network of more than 500 km of bicycle lanes.

Sports : Swimming, table tennis, several hiking and jogging paths starting right in front of the castle’s portal, municipal tennis court a few minutes away and many golf courses nearby (Golf de Fontenelles – 15 min).

Excursions : Enjoy the nearby seaside resort of Brétignolles-sur-Mer (20 min. away), St Gilles Croix de Vie or Les Sables d’Olonne (35 min. away) with their casinos and race courses. Don’t miss the theme Park The Puy du Fou with its world-biggest night time show (50 hour away). Get the chance to discover the Isles of Yeu and Noirmoutier and the famous city of La Rochelle (1 hour away).

Culture : Many great museums are nearby : La Chabotterie (30 min. away), the Vendée Museum (20 min. away) and the National Stud Farm of la Roche-sur-Yon (10min). Several different exhibitions take place during the year.
